NUOVA PROTECME SRL, formerly PROTECME, was established in 1942 to be at the
service of the aluminium foundry industry.
It is a medium company with a staff of about twenty people and it is placed in Ossona, half way between Milan and Malpensa airport. Together with its partners and distributors, it is the first Italian manufacturer and supplier of consumables for the aluminium foundries. NUOVA PROTECME holds an important position in the market of foundries, smelters and companies involved in the transformation of aluminium alloys and non-ferrous alloys in general.
The company is certified according to the ISO 9001:2008 quality system standard. NUOVA PROTECME produces and supplies auxiliary materials and equipment that can be listed as follows:

- Chemical fluxes in the form of powders, tablets, granules, for the treatment of molten non-ferrous alloys (protection, deoxidisation, drossing, degassing, grain refining of aluminium alloys with titanium and boron, modification of aluminium-silicon alloys with sodium, elimination of undesired elements).
- Metallic sodium for the modification of aluminium-silicon alloys.
- Master alloys in the form of tablets for the introduction of particular elements, such as Mn, Fe, Cu, Ti, Ni, Cr, P, into aluminium alloys.
- Master alloys in the form of sticks, rod coils, piglets, ingots, for the grain refining of aluminium alloys with titanium and boron, modification of aluminium-silicon alloys with strontium, introduction of alloying elements into aluminium alloys.
- Non-ferrous alloys.
- Fluxes for the cleaning of furnace walls.

- Protective coatings, dressings and lubricants to be applied on sand and metal moulds and cores.
